Official Announcement: New Campus Pastor Appointment at Lighthouse Church Steveston
---------------------------------------------------------------
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Lily-Mae O'Dowd as our new part-time Campus Pastor for Lighthouse Church Steveston. Lily-Mae is a graduate of Summit Pacific College and is a licensed minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC). She is married to Shaun, and together they are raising their daughter, Juliette.
Lily-Mae brings over a decade of experience with Alpha Canada, where she gained a deep appreciation for reaching Canadians with the Gospel. She has also served in leadership roles for more than seven years as a board member here at Lighthouse Church.
Lighthouse Church operates on two campuses—Ladner and Steveston—and has been actively partnering with other church plants in the Richmond area under the banner of the HUB. The Steveston campus has played a key role in facilitating rented space for ministry and church services. Despite challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, including the withdrawal of two coalition churches, the partnership between Steveston Gather and Lighthouse has remained strong. This alliance continues to thrive, with ongoing efforts to utilize our facilities to serve and bless the community. In 2022, the leadership of both congregations agreed to unite their efforts under the banner of "Church at the HUB" to better serve the Steveston area.
Lily-Mae will assume her role as Campus Pastor, working collaboratively with Darren and Crista Loff of Steveston Gather in accordance with the pastoral pattern established by our former pastor, Nick Osborne. She will also continue to serve on the Lighthouse Global Connections Team and complete her term on the board. Lily-Mae will be regularly present in Ladner and will help keep our community informed and engaged with God’s work in Steveston.
We invite the church family to join us in celebrating and commissioning Lily-Mae during ourr service on September 28th at the 9:30 AM service in Ladner.
